SC to hear appeal over objections to Imran Khan’s hospital transfer plea
The Supreme Court will hear an appeal on Friday against objections raised by its Registrar’s Office to a petition seeking the transfer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan to a hospital.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi will take up the appeal in chambers.
The Registrar’s Office had objected that the power of attorney submitted with the petition did not bear the PTI founder’s signature.
Following the objection, Imran Khan’s legal team submitted a signed power of attorney to address the deficiency.
The in-chamber hearing will determine whether the Registrar’s Office objections should be removed and the hospital transfer request admitted for regular proceedings.
