Ahsan Iqbal says Bilawal’s statement on Shehbaz’s absence from NA childish

PML-N General Secretary Ahsan Iqbal has said that the statement of PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto about the absence of opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif from the National Assembly is childish, reported 24News HD TV channel on Wednesday.
Talking to the media outside the NA, Ahsan Iqbal said that it was the job of the opposition to point out the shortcomings of the government's budget.
Earlier, Bilawal had criticized Shehbaz for his absence in the National Assembly, saying the opposition can only be effective if the leader of the opposition was present in the House.
The PML-N general secretary Iqbal said Shehbaz was unable to attend the NA session a day earlier due to the demise of his cousin.
He said that the most important factor in inflation was the rise in the prices of petroleum by-products. He said the government was deceiving the nation. He said the government had destroyed the Higher Education Commission along with all other institutions. He said the HEC chairman was removed because he was trying to prevent corruption. He said that the opposition forced the government to take back taxes of Rs350 billion. The PML-N leader further said that government did not present the actual budget as the budget was decided with IMF. Talking about the government’s accountability drive, He said that today he was appearing before the court to attend the hearing of another false case, adding that the government was using accountability for political revenge.
