Rs130m robbery in Karachi unmasks TikTokers, TV drama artists

Karachi police have arrested TikTok influencer siblings Yusra Zaib, Nimra, and Shehriyar in connection with an armed robbery in PECHS Block 2, where valuables worth Rs130 million were looted by suspects disguised as FIA officials, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

As reported by the police, the suspects, who are now in custody, have been identified as a famous sibling trio on TikTok, namely Yusra Zaib, Nimra, and Shehriyar.

The incident occurred at around 3:30 am between June 25 and 26, when the victim, Muhammad Salik, was returning home.

As he parked his car, a black vehicle with two armed men and three burqa-clad women intercepted him. One of the men wore an FIA-style uniform with an official-looking monogram.

According to the police, the suspects forcibly entered the home at gunpoint, making away with Rs130 million in cash, 9 smartphones (including iPhones and a Google Pixel), 25 high-end perfumes, 20 wristwatches, 1 smartwatch, 2 laptops, and other valuables.

Police launched an intensive investigation using CCTV footage and digital forensics, eventually identifying the culprits as the TV drama artists and the TikTok-famous siblings who post content under various names and have thousands of followers.

Yusra Zaib, a known influencer, has also worked as a fashion model for prominent Pakistani brands and has shared photos with local and international celebrities. The accused have also played roles in TV dramas.

A fourth suspect, identified as Shahroz, remains at large, with police continuing raids to arrest him.

Authorities are also probing whether the group was involved in other high-value robberies. Sources said TikTok videos and social media content played a critical role in confirming their identities.

The investigation into the recovery of stolen assets and the gang’s broader network is still underway.
