Two dacoits killed in Lahore and Shikarpur police encounters

Two notorious dacoits were shot dead in separate police encounters in Shikarpur and Lahore, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

According to the details, the first police encounter took place within the jurisdiction of Lodra Police Station, Shikarpur.

The police received credible information that some robbers were committing robbery in Chohi Shakh near Machi Wada.

After receiving the information, police teams from Kot Sultan and Hamayun immediately rushed to the spot.

After taking notice of the police party, four dacoits who were standing on the road for robbery started firing on the police indiscriminately.

During a heavy exchange of firing, one dacoit was killed by the firing of his own colleagues, and three of his colleagues escaped from the scene.

The dead dacoit was later identified as Shabbir, son of Rahim Bakhsh Barohi, wanted in seven criminal cases.

The dead dacoit was wanted by the police in seven criminal cases. Police recovered one Kalashnikov, a magazine, and bullets from the possession of the accused.

Police constituted different teams to apprehend the accused.

The other police encounter took place in the Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore when one dacoit died and another was injured.

The police encounter took place in the village of Tehat. The dead dacoit was identified as Asim, and the injured dacoit was recognised as Qaisar.

A Crime Control Department (CCD) team was taking the accused for recovery.

After taking notice of the police party, the colleagues of the dacoit started firing at the police.

During a heavy exchange of firing, one dacoit was killed by the firing of his own colleagues.

The injured dacoit Asim was immediately shifted to Jinnah Hospital Lahore for treatment.
