FIA offloads passenger over suspected Cambodia travel plan

FIA Immigration offloaded a passenger at Islamabad airport after officials found evidence that he allegedly planned to use Saudi Arabia as a transit point to travel to Cambodia on an Umrah visa, officials said.

According to FIA officials, the passenger was travelling to Saudi Arabia with his mother on flight ED-272 on an Umrah visa.

During secondary profiling, officials found that the passenger had earlier been offloaded on April 14, 2026, while attempting to travel to Cambodia.

A forensic examination of the passenger’s mobile phone showed that he was in contact with an agent regarding his planned departure to Cambodia, officials said.

According to the FIA, recovered voice notes and chat records indicated that the passenger had planned to travel to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa and then use it as a transit route to Cambodia after his mother returned.

Officials said the passenger was found to be involved in suspicious activities under the risk profile issued by FIA Headquarters.

The FIA said evidence recovered from the mobile phone showed the passenger’s intention to travel to Cambodia.

The passenger was offloaded and handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Islamabad for further investigation and legal action.
