Karachi board announces matric results, girls sweep top 3 positions

The Board of Secondary Education Karachi on Tuesday announced the results of the 2026 annual examinations for the 10th class general group (regular and private), with girls securing all three top positions.

According to the Board, Tooba Fatima secured the first position, Amna Asad stood second and Safia Munawar claimed the third position in the General Group.

The board chairman said that ensuring transparency in the examination process and result compilation remained the board's highest priority. He added that the board is committed to maintaining a fair and credible assessment system.

A total of 15,446 candidates were registered for the 10th General Group examinations, out of which 14,749 students appeared, while 697 candidates remained absent.

The Board also announced that the computerized e-marking process for the 9th Class examination papers has commenced, marking another step towards modernizing the assessment system.

Students can access their results through the official website of the Karachi Board. The Board expressed hope that the adoption of digital assessment methods would further enhance transparency and efficiency in the examination process.
