Another doctor was tested positive for coronavirus in the country, this time at Policlinic Hospital Islamabad, which yet again exposed the claims of providing the PPE [Personal Protection Equipment] to the healthcare workers.
It means that three doctors have so far been tested positive at the second largest hospital in the federal capital.
In this situation, the hospital administration, doctors and paramedical staff have appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Special Assistant on Health Dr Zafar Mirza to take notice of the situation.
They have said that they won’t perform their duties unless protective gear was not provided to them.
It not a surprise that all the staff members and patients have started believing that they are infected by the virus.
It is said that not closing the OPD [outdoor patients department] timely has resulted in increasing the number of infections.
Earlier on Saturday, four doctors were tested positive in Karachi – three from Aga Khan Hospital and one from Liaquat National Hospital.
Another doctor was diagnosed with the coronavirus at Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital in Gujrat.
Similarly, two doctors, one male and the other female, were tested positive in Dera Ghazi Khan, who were working at a quarantine centre.
