Amid the reports about severe shortage of personal protection equipment (PPE) in hospitals around the country with more and more doctors being infected by the coronavirus, a new video has resulted in another controversy on social media.
The video posted by a Twitter account affiliated with the ruling party shows Federal Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul Wazir visiting a quarantine centre in DG Khan while wearing a N95 mask. But the health workers there were seen using the ordinary ones.

The tweet praises the minister for visiting the facility and talking in detail with the doctors and nurses fighting the coronavirus day and night.
However, these images couldn’t go unnoticed as people highlighted this stark reality while mocking the government for its priorities.

The latest video comes as another doctor was tested positive for tested coronavirus at Policlinic Hospital Islamabad, meaning that three doctors have so far been tested positive at the second-largest hospital in the federal capital.
Earlier on Saturday, four doctors were tested positive in Karachi – three from Aga Khan Hospital and one from Liaquat National Hospital.
Another doctor was diagnosed with the coronavirus at Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital in Gujrat.
Similarly, two doctors, one male and the other female, were tested positive in Dera Ghazi Khan, who were working at a quarantine centre.
