A man shot dead his wife and nephew in a so-called honour killing case as he suspected an illicit relationship between the two in Sargodha on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The accused, Saifullah, was uncle and husband in relation to the dead ones – Asif and Asya.

The accused after gunning down both managed to run away from the crime scene.

First, he gunned down his nephew as he reached his brother’s house where his nephew was already present. Then, he came back home and killed his wife over an extra-marital affair between the two.

The allegation has not been verified by the victims’ family members as they insisted that the murders occurred due to some domestic dispute.

Police reached the site and shifted the bodies for post mortem and further investigation.

The incident occurred in the premises of the Sterlite Town Police Station in Sargodha.

Sargodha DPO Dr Rizwan Ahmed Khan took notice of the incident and directed police team to go after the runaway murderer.

He also sought a report from SDPO Sargodha (City).

Local forensic and crime scene units arrived and collected the evidence from the crime scene.

The local police teams have been constituted to arrest the accused.
