Kuwait assures Pakistan of jet fuel and diesel supply

Kuwait has assured facilitation for the delivery of diesel and jet fuel to Pakistani-flagged vessels following a meeting between Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Kuwait’s Ambassador Nasser Abdulrahman Jassim Al-Mutairi in Islamabad on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation confirmed that it would extend full cooperation to enable potential fuel supplies from Kuwait for Pakistani ships, strengthening operational support for maritime and aviation fuel requirements.

Ali Pervaiz Malik welcomed the assurance and thanked Kuwait for its continued cooperation, and acknowledged that Pakistan has been importing petroleum products, particularly diesel, from Kuwait for more than 50 years.

The Kuwaiti ambassador reaffirmed his country’s continued support for Pakistan despite ongoing global and regional challenges, underscoring the strength of bilateral relations.

The petroleum minister also highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasizing Islamabad’s role in facilitating peaceful solutions to regional conflicts and promoting stability.
