Two arrested for firing on women in Nankana Sahib

Police arrested two persons for firing on three women in Nankana Sahib, reported 24News HD TV Channel on Monday.

Police said that the incident took place in Chak No. 16, Syed Wala, Nankana Sahib. After the firing, all three women became seriously injured.

The injured women were later identified as Hayatan Bibi, Rani Bibi, and Shamim Bibi. Soon after receiving the report, a police team rushed to the spot and arrested the accused Nazir Ahmad and Ghulam Abbasi and recovered arms from their possession.

Later, the police team shifted the injured woman to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad. 

District Police Officer (DPO) Arsalan Zahid said that providing protection and security to women is the Punjab government’s top priority.

He further said that the police adopted zero tolerance policy against criminals involved in violence against women.
