A woman and her son got killed when electricity cables snapped due to sandstorm and fell on them in Lahore on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident happened in Shahpur Kanjran locality on Multan Road of Lahore.

According to the 1122 Rescue officials, the power lines broke due to the storm and fell on both of the victims.

The duo was travelling on a motorcycle when the cables hit them.

Rescue officials handed the dead bodies to the police for further proceedings.
