Fire erupts at Karachi’s shopping emporium

Several motorcycles were burnt after a fire erupted in the parking area of a private shopping center in Karachi’s Buffer Zone on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Two fire brigade vehicles were dispatched to Irum Shopping Emporium to extinguish the blaze, while efforts were being made to rescue those stranded in the building till last reports came in.
The rescuers succeeded in saving the life of a minor girl and many others who were trapped in the building.
Firefighters said they were facing difficulties in containing the flames due to the smoke billowing from the site.
However, they said no loss of life had been reported so far.
The fire was finally doused and the cooling process began.
