Pakistan's Hajj Mission has received international recognition for its outstanding performance during the annual pilgrimage, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
Director General Hajj Pakistan, Abdul Wahab Soomro, was honoured among the leading heads of Hajj missions from across the world for his role in overseeing services for Pakistani pilgrims.
Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, presented the prestigious Labaitum Excellence Award to Abdul Wahab Soomro in recognition of the mission's exemplary services to Pakistani pilgrims.
Under Soomro's leadership, the Pakistan Hajj Mission secured the excellence award for the second consecutive year, reflecting its continued efforts to improve facilities, management, and support services for pilgrims during Hajj.
Senior officials and representatives of Hajj missions from various countries attended the award ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the Saudi minister also unveiled the policy framework and operational timeline for Hajj 1448 Hijri.
Saudi authorities announced that preparations for the next Hajj season will formally begin on 12 Dhul Hijjah 1447 Hijri, immediately after this year's pilgrimage concludes, allowing participating countries and Hajj missions to start planning and coordination well in advance.
