Dacoits rob and sexually abuse rickshaw driver in Gujranwala: Police

A rickshaw driver was allegedly robbed and sexually assaulted by armed suspects in Gujranwala district, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday. 

According to police from the Ladhe Wala Waraich area, the 47-year-old driver was returning home after dropping off passengers when he was intercepted by two suspects riding a donkey cart.

Police said the suspects first robbed the victim of cash and a mobile phone.

They then took him to nearby fields, where he was allegedly sexually assaulted.

An FIR has been registered on the complaint of the victim, police confirmed, adding that raids are being carried out to arrest the suspects.
