Beo Raana Zafar, an actress known for her comedy skills is casted as the mother in Ek Jhoothi Love Story and plays an essential role in the storyline.

Ek Jhoothi Love Story is a family drama directed by Mehreen Jabbar. It is based on the ideal expectations one has for a partner and the effect society has in molding those expectations.

Beo Zafar, popularly known as a theatre actress and standup comedian, has previously appeared in Cake the film and is now, more recently, known as an impromptu on screen actress. Even though Beo's character is witty and sarcastic, she shared that acting as a mother was effortless to her as she is a motherly person by nature and she had a fun time playing that role.

Beo is mostly known for her comic side and it comes easily to her but she does understand the importance of the serious side of life and would definitely love to play a serious character sometime in the future.

Beo is an easy-going person so working with Mehreen Jabbar, who happens to be her niece, and the rest of the crew members was easy and effortless. She shared how much she enjoyed working with everyone on the sets and how she did not have to make any effort to blend in.

Beo was fortunate to have had a good experience working as a stand-up comedian and used to prefer performing live for her fans as the buzz of stand up is immediate and tremendous but now as life has moved forward she’s more comfortable performing on screen for her audience. However, her spirit and excitement remain the same.

When Beo was asked to share her thoughts on the pressure Desi mother’s face on getting their children married, she said: “I believe that every mother wants the best for their children and that’s the real pressure but we forget that nature has a plan of its own- often better than our own.”

It was clear that Beo had a wonderful time on the sets of EJLS. Ek Jhooti Love Story released on the 30th of October and is streaming on Zee5. The show has received tremendous love and great reviews from Pakistan and across borders, making it a must watch web series.
