An anti-corruption court in Lahore on Wednesday extended the interim bail of former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar till Dec 13 in an asset beyond means case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court also sought the inquiry record from the National Accountability Bureau during next hearing.
The anti-corruption court Judge Sajjad Ahmad Sheikh heard an application submitted by Usman Buzdar seeking bail in an asset beyond means case filed against him by the NAB.
Buzdar appeared before the court along with his Barrister Momin.
During hearing, the judge expressed his exasperation over the late arrival of the investigation officer. He remarked that it’s quite regrettable that the accused was sitting in the court but the IO was missing.
However, when the investigation officer reached the court, he extended his apology over his late arrival.
The IO told the court that the NAB had not issued arrest warrants for Buzdar and his arrest was not required at this stage.
After this, the court extended the interim bail of Buzdar till Dec 13 and adjourned the case.
