TTP armed with modern weapons a big threat to region, say defence analysts

Defence analysts cautioned that foreign-made weapons with the banned Tehreek-e-Talban Pakistan (TTP) have become a big threat to the region.

Talking to 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday, Brigadier® Waqar Hasan informed that yesterday Pakistani security forces conducted an operation in South Waziristan and killed 8 terrorists and recovered American-made weapons and modern foreign weapons from the dead terrorists.

He said that it is proof that the American weapons left in Afghanistan are in unsafe hands.

He said that the banned TTP was imposed by organized way in order to spread unrest in Pakistan.

The banned TTP also used US and foreign mad weapons in Peshawar, Lucky Marwat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan used US-made weapons and such foreign-made weapons led to an increase in the military strength of the banned TTP, he concluded.
