Muhammad Waseem wins World Gold Bantamweight title in Lahore

Pakistan’s star boxer Muhammad Waseem clinched the World Gold Bantamweight title on the final day of the International Boxing Championship held in Lahore on Saturday. 

Waseem defeated Thailand’s Jakkrawut to secure the prestigious title.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the champion on his victory, saying Waseem had “made the nation proud” by lifting the title on home soil.

The final day of the event also featured several other high-profile bouts.

In the first fight of the fourth day, British boxer Jamie Kelly defeated Thailand’s Chaiwat to win the South Asia Super Middleweight title.

In another exciting match, a Mexican boxer claimed the Asia Gold Featherweight title by overcoming British fighter Alex.

The championship concluded with Pakistan celebrating Waseem’s standout triumph, marking a memorable finish to the international event hosted in Lahore.
