Women's Cycling Race in Quetta draws strong participation

A women’s cycling race was held in Quetta on Sunday, organised by the Pakistan Army in collaboration with the Quetta District Cycling Association, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The event, hosted at the Shola Sports Complex, drew a large turnout of female cyclists who competed in a 5.9-kilometre race designed to test stamina, skill and endurance.

Participants navigated a challenging route and showcased their athletic abilities in an atmosphere that organisers described as energetic and inclusive. 

At the closing ceremony, top performers received cash prizes, medals and certificates, while special awards were also presented to the youngest and oldest competitors to acknowledge their enthusiasm.

Many of the cyclists praised the Pakistan Army for promoting healthy and constructive activities in Balochistan, saying the strong female participation reflected growing confidence and interest among women in sports. 

They urged organisers to hold similar events more frequently, emphasising that such initiatives are vital for encouraging women’s participation and providing platforms to demonstrate their talent.
