Following the situation, additional police personnel were deployed in Bani Gala carrying sticks and tear gases to use against the protesters if they tried to gather at the residence of the PM.

The security forces have also blocked the Imran Chowk at Bani Gali for general traffic and declared that no unauthorized person was allowed to go beyond the Imran Chowk.

Security has also been tightened at all business centres on GT Road in the Gujrat area and all hotels, petrol pumps and educational institutions have been closed.

While security forces have also started excavation of 20 feet deep, 20 feet wide and 600-meter long trench before the River Jhelum Bridge after Chenab River deploying police and rangers on both sides of the bridge.
