David Miller and Kagiso Rabada played aggressive unbeaten late cameos as South Africa beat Sri Lanka by four wickets in a tense Twenty20 World Cup clash on Saturday.

Miller smashed 23 off 13 balls and Rabada made 13 including the winning boundary as South Africa reached their target of 143 with one ball to spare in Sharjah.

Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga took a hat-trick - the third since the tournament since its inaugural edition in 2007 - but his figures of 3-20 were not enough for Sri Lanka who made 142 in their innings.

Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga took a hat-trick against South African in the Twenty20 World Cup on Saturday.

Hasaranga got Aiden Markram out on the final ball of his third over and then struck on the first and second deliveries of his fourth to complete the feat in Sharjah.

Ireland fast bowler Curtis Campher took four wicket in four balls in the qualification stage against Netherlands. Australia's Brett Lee took the first hat-trick of the competition in 2007 against Bangladesh.
