Prime Minister Imran Khan has extended his greetings to the nation and the national cricket team on their back-to-back victories in T20 World Cup matches.
Pakistan beat Afghanistan in Friday's match after defeating New Zeeland and India. The premier also praised the Afghan team's 'impressive cricket and rapid rise'.
"Congratulations Team Pakistan. Impressive cricket by Team Afghanistan. Never have I seen a cricketing nation rise as rapidly as Afghanistan in international cricket & become so competitive. With this competitive spirit & talent the future of cricket is bright in Afghanistan" PM Imran khan tweeted.
