Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah Sunday attended a dinner hosted by the Indonesian Consul General at a hotel in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The dinner was hosted by the Indonesian Consul General for the diplomats at a hotel in Karachi.
Addressing the gathering, Murad Ali Shah said it is an honor to be invited to this event to exchange ideas and experiences of mutual interest.
He said that dinners like these were common earlier but the Covid-19 deprived us of it. Timely action and vaccination campaign on a very large scale stopped and controlled the spread of the virus. However, things have improved a lot now.
Chief Minister Sindh then talked about the fatalities of floods due to climate change, especially in Sindh. He said that more than 600 human lives were ended due to the heavy downpours caused by climate change.
He said that he is speechless and he does not have anything to say to the public. Thus, I put forward this question before the diplomats sitting here to think. This is a forum for sharing the pain and talking about international problems.
Murad Ali Shah said that Indonesia has the honor to be called the world’s largest Muslim population and Pakistan comes second to that. We share the same religion, culture and beliefs so a strong two-way bond and connections should exist between the two countries.
