Customs officials foil smuggling bid, recover 59kg silver worth three crore in Multan

Multan Customs officials have foiled the smuggling of silver worth three crore and arrested two suspects on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

Customs officials conducted an operation near Sher Shah Toll Plaza, Multan, and recovered 59 kilograms of silver during the operation. The customs officials have arrested 2 people and registered a case against them. Silver was being hidden in secret compartments of a premium car. The value of the goods seized is more than three crores. 

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Collector Customs Syed Itrat Bukhari. Silver will be deposited in the government treasury after the necessary action, said Additional Collector Customs Syed Itrat Bukhari.
