Actress Mehwish Hayat speaks for security of women
Film and television actress Mehwish Hayat took to Twitter to share a video clip from her 2016 film Actor in Law, simply to reinstate how the debate surrounding victim-blaming hasn't changed the slightest bit over the years.
She uploaded the clip and wrote: "The fault is not in our laws, there is a provision to protect and provide security to all women in Pakistan. It boils down to ‘mindset’ and ‘intent’."
She further added, "Shame that nothing has changed and it’s still as relevant today as it was then."

The women face the same situation of harassment and sexual abuse everywhere in the country even after so many laws were introduced for the safety and protection of the women.
The recent incident of gang rape with a woman on Lahore motorway in the precinct of Gujjar police was just an example.
