Capt Safdar says will appear before NAB KP
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and husband of PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz Captain (retd) Safdar Awan alleged that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) now wanted to see him in Peshawar instead of Lahore just because he asked for receipts from SAPM Asim Saleem Bajwa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.
The NAB KP has summoned Safdar to appear before him on October 8 in assets beyond means case.
The PML-N leader said, “I will go to Islamabad for JIT. They ask me about where my assets came from but NAB does not ask Asim Saleem Bajwa.”
He alleged that the NAB Chairman was resorting to political victimization.
An accountability court in Lahore extended interim bail of 29 PML-N workers and leaders including Rana Sanaullah and Captain (retd) Safdar Awan till October 6 in the case of vandalism outside the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office in Lahore.
“I do not have fear of anything after I have gone through Panama, Adiala Jail and Kot Lakhpat imprisonment,” he further said.
The PML-N leader said, “If we want to save the constitution and the sanctity of state then we have to go to the jails.”
He said coward rulers are fearful of women like Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
