No change in petrol price, diesel rate down by Rs2.40 per litre

The government on Wednesday retained the price of petrol in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a notification issued in Islamabad, the price of high-speed diesel was reduced by Rs2.40 per litre. The interesting thing is that this cut in diesel price will be for 15 days.
The new prices will be implemented from Wednesday midnight.
On Tuesday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) put forward recommendations to bring down the prices of petroleum products by Rs2 per litre from next month.
The authority recommended fuel price cut after the international rates came down. The federal government on September 15 had announced to maintain the fuel prices for the next 15 days in the country.
