PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi submits resignation
The move came on Wednesday after sources claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked Shamim Naqvi to quit the Sindh Assembly.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismael disclosed that Shamim Naqvi had forwarded his resignation after an apology on the day he spoke against the federal government.
The Secretary Sindh Assembly said member Sindh Assembly can submit his resignation only in front of the Speaker as postal resignation and no other person on his behalf can submit the resignation as per the law.
The sources said that Firdous Naqvi has been asked to resign immediately. “Few MPAs have decided to support him but some have decided against supporting him,” the TV channel reported.
The sources said that there are differences from the beginning in PTI Sindh on the opposition leader.
On September 18, Naqvi posted an apology on Twitter for criticizing Imran Khan. He said, “I would like to apologise to all Insafians. My intention was to say I am going to complain about the energy minister and SSGC to the PM. On hearing the recording words are not exactly conveying that. My apologies to my leader. Who is the most committed and upright man I have ever met.”
Earlier on gas and electricity shortage issue, he said, “I will say, have some shame. Two years have passed, solve the problem.
