A civil court in Faisalabad on Thursday declared local Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Talal Chaudhry, Haji Akram Ansari, Rao Kashif Raheem, Ejaz Virk, Shafeeq Ahmed Gujjar, Mian Qasim Farooq and others ‘proclaimed offenders’ (POs) in a case dating back to 2019, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Not only that, the court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants of the suspects besides ordering blocking of their national identity cards (NICs).
These leaders had addressed a public gathering in Faisalabad in 2019 following which the police had registered cases against them. But they did not cooperate with the police in the investigation nor did they attend the court hearings due to which the court had to give these orders.
