The Supreme Court will hear the Punjab government petitions against the relocation of sugar mills owned by the Sharif family, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The apex court has fixed the Punjab government petitions for hearing on Oct 6.

A three-judge bench headed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa and comprising Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel will hear the case.

The provincial government has challenged the transfer of sugar mills belonged to the Sharif family. The Ittefaq, Hamza, and Ashraf Sugar Mills have been transferred to the cotton producing areas.

The Lahore High Court had already dismissed the petitions against the sugar mills’ relocation.
