KP govt: CM Gandapur’s two cabinet ministers resign

The two provincial ministers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government have resigned from Cabinet after expressing no-confidence against Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s government, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

Accoridng to details, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Minister for Education Faisal Khan Tarakai and Minister for Irrigation Aqibullah Khan resigned from the cabinet while expressing severe differences with Chief Minister’s policies in the province. 

According to the content of the resignations letters, the ministers said, “We worked as ministers according to Imran Khan's mission and vision and our entire commitment will remain with Imran Khan but we cannot continue with Ali Amin anymore and hence resigned. 

The provcial ministers alleged that corruption was rampant in the province, hence they decided to resign from the cabinet. 

The ministers claimed that PTI leadership has been compromised across the province due to CM Ali Amin's decisions. 

Both ministers belong to Swabi district. Aqibullah is the brother of former Speaker Asad Qaiser, while Faisal Tarakai is the brother of Member of the National Assembly Shahram Tarakai.

The resignations come amid strong rumours of a cabinet reshuffle. The speculation gained traction after Chief Minister Gandapur held a meeting with the founding chairman. According to sources, changes in ministerial portfolios and the removal of responsibilities from other ministers remain possible.
