Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban part ways after 19 years of marriage

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples, have officially separated after 19 years of marriage, PEOPLE reports.

The Academy Award-winning actress, 58, and the Grammy-winning country music star, 57, quietly parted ways earlier this year.

A source close to the couple reveals that Kidman had been "fighting to save the marriage," and that her sister Antonia and the Kidman family have rallied around her during this difficult time.

“She didn’t want this,” the source shares. “Nicole has leaned heavily on her family,  especially her sister, for support.”

According to TMZ, who first broke the news, the couple has been living apart since the start of summer 2025.

While Kidman wrapped filming for Practical Magic 2 in London, Urban has been on the road for his ongoing music tour, with his next show scheduled for October 2 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Kidman and Urban share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Despite their separation, both parents remain committed to co-parenting and spending quality time with their children.

Kidman recently shared “summer memories” on Instagram, featuring time spent with her daughters and extended family. Urban, meanwhile, has stayed focused on his tour but has remained quiet about the breakup on social media.

The couple tied the knot in June 2006 in Sydney, Australia. Throughout their marriage, they were known for their deep affection for each other, often appearing together at red carpet events and sharing heartfelt tributes online.

On June 25, 2025, just months before the separation news, Kidman posted a photo of the two cuddling on Instagram to celebrate their anniversary, writing:
“Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban”

Kidman, previously married to Tom Cruise, has maintained a strong support system. In a 2024 interview with PEOPLE, she described Urban as her “deep, deep love” and credited him for being a grounding force in her life.
