The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has issued a tender for purchase of 35,000 metric ton sugar under the Prime Minister’s Relief Package. 

The corporation has sought tenders for purchase of sugar from sugar mills at ex-mill rate by September 14. According to reports, the corporation is once again all set to purchase expensive sugar. 

According to officials of the Utility Stores Corporation, ex-mill and open-market rates of sugar have gone up and this is the reason the Utility Stores Corporation will have to purchase expensive sugar.
