Pakistan Army continues rescue and relief operation in Karachi

The Pakistan Army continued rescue and relief operations in parts of Karachi worst hit by urban flooding triggered by a strong monsoon spell last week.
According to the spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, engineers from the armed forces cleared Gizri Underpass of rainwater on Monday. Earlier, Pakistan Army’s rescue and relief teams had cleared KPT, Civic Centre, Mohsin Bhopali and Golimar Underpasses of rainwater. Army’s mobile rescue vehicles are pulling broken vehicles of Karachi citizens out of rainwater. At least 32 emergency medical and 56 relief camps have been set up by the Pakistan Army in aid of civil administration in the city.
