Two under-custody accused killed by accomplices’ gunfire in Lahore encounter

Two under-custody accused were killed in a police encounter after being fatally shot by their own accomplices during a crossfire in Sagian, Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The Crime Control Department (CCD) sources said that a police party was taking the accused Ghulam Mustafa and Asim Shafiq for identification to Sagian.
The CCD sources further said that the police encounter took place between the accused’s accomplices and the CCD Kotwali.
During a heavy exchange of fire, both dacoits died from the firing of their colleagues. The dead dacoits were involved in criminal cases, including dacoity, snatching, and other serious crimes.
The CCD sources said that the dead dacoits were wanted by the police in different criminal cases.
