PTI MNA Haji Imtiaz Ahmed arrested in two anti-corruption cases

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Chaudhry has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Department in connection with two cases registered in 2024, anti-corruption sources said.

According to the sources, the lawmaker is accused of illegally occupying government land and allegedly altering his son’s birth record.

The Anti-Corruption Department took Haji Imtiaz Ahmed into custody in the two cases and subsequently produced him before the relevant court.

The court sent the arrested MNA to jail on a 15-day judicial remand, the sources said.

Further proceedings in the cases are under way.
