30,000 appear in test for 1,667 Islamabad police posts 

More than 30,000 men and women candidates from all over Pakistan appeared in a written test for 1667 posts of constables in the Islamabad Capital Police, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

According to a spokesperson for the police, the country's biggest constable recruitment process is going on. The department has been understaffed for the past five years, the official said adding that Security arrangements have been made.

Islamabad Police IG Dr Akbar Nasir Khan praised the administrative officers. The CPO Headquarters, CPO Security, CPO Safe City, CPO Training and Law and Order and CPO Operations played their due role. The top cop also expressed gratitude to candidates for showing discipline.
