LG polls: No intra-court appeal filed in IHC

After no intra-court appeal has been filed so far, all offices of Islamabad High Court have been closed, 24NewsHD TV channel reported late on Friday.

Earlier in the day, the IHC issued orders to hold the local government election in the federal capital tomorrow (December 31). 

However, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the court order is not enforceable. It will take five months to conduct the election, he said adding that immediate arrangements for thousands of polling stations are not possible while the Rangers and FC will need to be called.
