Minor girls selling ring in Rawalpindi hotels exposed
An alleged network involved in the exploitation of underage girls in hotels near the Pirwadhai area of Rawalpindi has come to light, according to an investigative report by 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The report claimed that girls aged between 10 and 12 were being exploited in several hotels in the area. The channel said it had obtained video footage purportedly showing individuals involved in arranging and facilitating these activities.
According to the footage, a broker can be seen negotiating a deal involving a minor girl with a person posing as a customer. During the conversation, the fictitious buyer raises concerns about possible police action. In response, the broker allegedly claims that regular payments are made to ensure protection and that more girls are present in other hotels as well.
The footage further shows a hotel manager allegedly booking a room, brokers receiving money, and a minor girl being brought before the supposed customer. Another individual is also seen allegedly collecting money. Parts of the hotel premises linked to the management are also shown in the footage.
The report stated that the alleged activities had been continuing for a long period. Local residents told the channel that they had repeatedly informed the police about the situation, but no effective action had been taken so far.
According to the report, underage girls were allegedly abducted from other cities and brought to Rawalpindi for exploitation. No official response from the police or the local administration was available at the time of filing this report.
