PM Shehbaz holds telephonic meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday evening spoke on the telephone with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conversation was described as very warm and pleasant.

During the call, the prime minister of Pakistan conveyed his respect and good wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as for Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He thanked the Crown Prince for his love, sincerity and warmth towards Pakistan.

According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister's Office, both leaders reiterated that the long-standing and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which have reached new heights in recent months, will be further strengthened. They also exchanged views on the regional situation and current developments.

The prime minister emphasized the need to maintain unity and harmony among the Muslim Ummah in the face of various challenges. Expressing Pakistan’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he stressed that maintaining regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy is imperative.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked the Prime Minister for the telephonic contact and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s desire to further enhance cooperation with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest. He also expressed his desire to pay an official visit to Pakistan next year.
