Two dacoits dead, one arrested during police encounters in Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad
Two proclaimed offenders died, and one was arrested in an injured condition during two police encounters in Nankana Sahib and Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The first police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of War Burton Police Station in Nankana Sahib.
Police said that after taking notice, the accused opened fire on the police team. After the retaliation firing by the police, two accused died.
The dead accused were identified as Manzoor alias Juri and Dilawar Abbas, who were declared as proclaimed offenders.
Police further revealed that the dead dacoits were involved in more than 50 criminal cases.
The second police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station, Faisalabad, near Jora Pul.
Police said that four dacoits were committing robbery from a citizen. Soon after receiving the report, SHO Saddar Police Station Mohammad Ali rushed to the spot.
After taking notice of the police team, the dacoits started firing. During the exchange of fire, one dacoit, Abid alias Abi became critically injured.
Police said that the injured dacoit was involved in more than 31 criminal cases.
Police shifted the injured dacoit to the hospital and started a search operation to apprehend his accomplices.
