Shahid Afridi pins hope on RAT test clearance to rejoin Gladiators

Quetta Gladiators ace all-rounder Shahid Afridi can only join the bio-secure bubble on Tuesday if he will clear the rapid antigen test (RAT) Tuesday (tomorrow), reported 24NewsHDTV channel on Monday.

If the RAT test comes negative, Afridi will join the Gladiators in their match against Islamabad United on February 3.

It is pertinent to mention that the ace all-rounder was tested positive for the coronavirus, a few days ago. However, Afridi is currently under isolation in his home.

Earlier, the Gladiators had requested the technical committee to induct Hassan Khan into the squad as a replacement of Shahid Afridi.

 The Gladiators' source confirmed that the request has been approved.

As per the source, Hassan would return to the bio-secure bubble, in case the Afridi RAT test comes negative.
