The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has notified Rs 60 per kilogram hike in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for the month of February dropping another bombshell to the already burdened masses, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to a notification issued by OGRA on Tuesday, the new price of LPG per kg has surged from Rs 204 to Rs 260. The notification added that the price of domestic LPG cylinders has gone up by Rs703 and commercial cylinders by Rs2706 following the hike in LPG price. The domestic cylinder will now be available at Rs3,115 and the commercial cylinder at Rs11,984.

The price of LPG per kg for the month of January was fixed at Rs 204.35 and the recent increase of Rs 60 per kg in LPG is unprecedented. 

It is pertinent to mention here that the federal government on January 29 announced raised the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs35 per litre.
