People throng Sialkot passport office amid fee hike rumours

People in Sialkot flocked to passport office amid rumours that fee for machine-readable passports was being enhanced, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Report said hundreds of people reached passport office. A long line of people upto the road was witnessed. The passport office was filled to its capacity. The stairs and corridors of he office were seen full of applicants.
However, the administration clarified that the rumours making rounds on social media regarding the hike in the fee for machine-readable passports were baseless and unfounded.
