Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of senior cultural journalist Ashiq Chaudhry, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his message on Tuesday, the CM conveyed his heartfelt condolence and sympathy to the bereaved family.
Paying tribute, Mohsin Naqvi said the late journalist rendered valuable services for journalism and cultural development.
He also prayed that Allah Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to his family to bear the loss with equanimity.
“Ashiq Chaudhry's services for art and culture cannot be forgotten,” Mohsin Naqvi said, adding that his services will be remembered forever.
Senior Journalist Ashiq Chaudhary passed away after a prolonged illness here on Tuesday.
He remained associated with daily Jang since 1982. He is survived by three sons and one daughter. The funeral prayer of the deceased will be announced later.
