Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor has leveled another allegation against the woman officer and a candidate for DG Hajj post, saying the lady officer had approached him for the same purpose, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The minister is allegedly against the appointment of a female officer for the vacant positions of director and director-general Hajj in the ministry.
He said the officer had also visited his home in this regard. Abdul Shakoor said he did not want to talk much about the approaches she had used to become DG Hajj. He said she also exerted political pressure on him.
“She is the only candidate included in the interview list who approached me.”
He said the matter was with the court and he would accept what the court will rule.
About allegations against him, the minister said he was considering moving the court. He said his audio was leaked after editing. He said leaked video was part of speech after the interview ended. He was of the view that audio recording was wrong and totally unacceptable act.
