Four dead, 27 injured as wedding party van collides with truck in Lodhran

As many as four people were killed and 27 others injured when a van carrying wedding guests collided with a truck in Lodhran district, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday. 

According to Rescue 1122, the van, which was transporting nearly 50 members of a wedding party, crashed into a truck while returning from Jahaniyan to Gogran.

The impact left two women, one man, and a child dead at the scene.

Rescue officials said the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where several were reported to be in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred due to the van’s high speed and an overloaded truck carrying straw, which allegedly lacked proper indicators, making it difficult for the van driver to judge its movement.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.
