PM postpones visit to flood-hit Tank, DI Khan, arrives in Lahore

The scheduled visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the flood-affected areas of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan districts has been postponed due to bad weather, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the official sources, the prime minister was to visit the flood-hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Sunday but bad weather altered the plan.

Federal Minister for Communications Maulana Asad Mehmood was to accompany Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his visit to the KP’s flood-hit areas.

The prime minister, however, arrived in Lahore from Islamabad on Sunday noon where he will hold meetings with politicians.

Earlier, the prime minister had visited the flood-hit areas of Balochistan including Jhal Magsi where he announced a relief package for the flood-hit people.
