PDMA warns of floods in Punjab rivers for next few days

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Wednesday said that water levels in rivers, dams and nullahs in Punjab were rising as more monsoon showers had been forecast for most of the districts of the province during the next 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


The spokesman for the PDMA said that there was a low flood in the River Indus at Tarbela and Kalabagh.


It said there was a possibility of medium to high flood in River Jhelum at Mangla between August 1 and August 4.


Similarly, the Authority said that floods were also feared in River Chenab at Khanki, Qadirabad and Marala.
